New Shoes

I just got these new Evolv REX shoes and there awsome! I can go from Dirt Jumping on my bike streight to the crag, the front of the shoe, it has a climbing style toe for doing easy climbs around 5.10 and lower. One thing I should mention is that the color scheme on the shoe is not what Evolv makes, I painted in the Black on the toe and heal and the Gray on the sides.

For Sale!

I am selling my Canon GL2 Camcorder on CraigsList.com (Colorado-Section Denver-City Photo&video-Section) I have no use for it anymore, Beens I have switched to HD. The Camcorder only has had about 10 tapes through it, I used mostly Hard Drive storage on camera so the tape drive has had little use, and is in mint condition with a Canon wd-58 wide angle (350.00) and 6 hour battery (169.95) included.

Here's the Link to the GL2:

Wadedavid.com Going HD?

Yes the rumors are true that I am going to be shooting HD. I will finish up and release a Hueco, Yosemite, and secret area videos before releaseing the HD video. In the past I had the money to get a HD cam but I think it was a little to early to jump the gun and get one. Why? Because the HD cams that came out a little over a yr ago were way to much for what your getting, Most of the Sony HD cam's are shit, and JVC, But it seems that Panasonic and Canon got it dialed as far as features and shooting Progressive video (1920x1080/720-24p/24p/30p/60p/60i), which is by far better for action sports, vivid colors, and sharpness. Stay Tuned!

Sorry about bad mouthing Sony and JVC, but it's true!

Little Bored with Climbing!

Latley I have been a little bored with climbing, sooooo I have reverted to Mtn Biking, Urban or Dirt Jumping. There is nothing better than waiting for news parts for the bike to come in the mail, it's like x-mas every day! This week me and Crazy Matt have teamed up to build a 8 ft tall X 15 ft wide curved dirt wall ride that you can also jump out of, pretty Eeefing rad I must add! The jumps and the wall ride we are building is in an area where it is notorious for kids to come by and destroy, I guess it doesn't help that I stole there shovel to use for our jump building. I basically got to head over to the jumps by 3pm before they get out of school so the jumps don't get destroyed. Anyways I have been trying to get some other than climbing footage together for the site, keep in mind it's wadedavid.com not a rock climbing site, even though it mostly caters to climbing. Anyone wants to go ride or shoot Mtn bike footage let me know, v14ordie@gmail.com

Coffee Reheater!

I'm at work bored out of my mind on night shift and trying to figure out how to reheat my coffee (my coffee maker is broken). I grab a glass bottle pore the coffee in and place the bottle in the 1900 degree oven and presto! you got hot coffee in .8 seconds. I work at a place that makes glass bottles, thats why I have a oven that can reach these temps.

Here is a new photo of Matt in Aspen,Co waiting for the rain to stop.

2007 Trade Show SLC, Ut

This was my first trip to the trade show in Salt Lake City, Ut. It was a trip to have fun and explore what the 1141 booths of Dealers, Exhibitors, and Buyers have to offer in this giant Labyrinth at the Salt Palace in Downtown SLC.
I first headed to the Evolv Booth to meet the owner Brian Chung for the first time and check out there new line of Approach and Rock Climbing Shoes, The Optimus is this new shoe Sharma designed and will be out in the spring, I think this shoe will spin a lot of heads. Evolvs booth at pretty large compared to other climbing shoes companies. I think Evolv has a great set of climbers on there team, Including Chris Sharma, Lisa Rands, Lizzy Asher, Chris Linder, and Alex Puccio, I think that the rest of the crew on the Evolv team (Including Me) believing in there product, then Evolv has a great future ahead of them.
I took me about 2 1/2 hours to walk through the show, I end up meeting some new friends, seeing old ones and meeting people for the first time that I have conducted business through by email. I was able to strike some attention to my site by mentioning it to everyone I came in contact with and passed out business cards.
After hanging at the trade show I need to head over to The Front Climbing Gym to shoot video of the Pre-Qualifiers for Mike Call and Josh Lowell, Mike let me shoot from his True DVCPro50 HD camera (Real Bad Ass HD Cam), I am thinking about buying one of these in the future. The comp was cool I had a good time shooting, I thought I got some great shoots. After the Comp I headed back to the hotel room to change and ride my Long board dinner at the Redbrick with my good friends Matt Kennedy, His boss and co-worker, Adrian Robert, and Melissa Marshall. I recently found out that you couldn’t order doubles of anything in Utah, so I ordered a single white Russian and The Migon Steak Ummmmmmm Good!
Day 2 I went to the Trade Show to hangout and chat with some vendors, 5:30 pm I headed over to the Shilo Inn across the street from the Trade Show, the Comp. Finals where starting at 6pm. I helped Mike Call and Josh Lowell shoot video for the Finals and Oh Boy the Problems looked very hard, there were about 1500 and 2000 people watching the comp. Sharma and Alex J. won the Comp. After the comp. I headed over to the after party that Revolution and Mammut hosted, it was one of the best climbing after parties I have been to, there was 5 different rooms with dance floors, Go-Go Dancers and everyone was all dancing up on stage.
Day 3 I packed up my shit and headed home with Melissa M. and Todd from Joy Engine, we made a short stop in Joes Valley on the way back, it was about 80 degrees and slightly windy. Joes was fun for about 2 hours before the sun went down.
